Strangerville Things: Part Three

Freddy had a couple of days off from work and decided to use them to search for more evidence. He was intrigued when he found an old plane wreck that someone seemed to be using as a house. He knocked on the door, and a man called him inside.

He met George Cahill, a retired fighter pilot, and the two had a friendly conversation, but the temptation to snoop was too much for Freddy. The man was suspicious to say the least...

“Sorry!” he said, as he used his SimRay to freeze George.

He got to snooping and found a confession about how George had witnessed a crime, but it was not relevant to the Strangerville investigation.

He found a stack of documents labeled top secret and found some strange blueprints.

Once he was satisfied that he had carefully inspected the plane, he began to chisel George out of the ice. He was a little nervous that George would be angry, but there was no way he had seen anything when he was frozen, right?

Wrong. George emerged from the ice with blue, frost-bitten skin, and as soon as he regained his composure, he yelled at Freddy.

“How dare you come into my home and snoop!” he exclaimed! “Whatever you found, it’s lies, all lies, you hear?”

“I’m really sorry,” Freddy said sincerely. “I didn’t mean to pry–I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on in Strangerville!”

“Well you won’t find anything here!” he exclaimed. His face softened. “However…You might take a look at the mayor’s house…” he said. “Now get out of my plane!”

It wasn’t difficult for Freddy to figure out which house was the mayor’s since it was the fanciest house in Strangerville. He nervously knocked on the door. His SimRay had been a terrible idea, and he wasn’t sure how he was going to find enough time to look for evidence without it.

“Come on in!” a woman’s voice called.

But when Freddy went inside he didn’t see anyone, so he took it upon himself to explore.

Freddy went down into the basement and found another stack of secret documents. The people in Strangerville really needed to learn not to leave secret documents in plain sight–or at least, not to label them Top Secret in red ink!

He found a hastily scrawled note, so he pocketed it and hurried upstairs. He knew if he didn’t at least speak to someone his presence would be suspicious, so he looked around until he spotted a woman with straight blonde hair in the backyard.

“There you are!” she said warmly. “I called for you to come in because I was just about to go inside. If you’re here to see my husband,” she said, “I’m afraid he’s not here right now. As you can imagine, his job as mayor keeps him very busy.”

“Of course,” Freddy said nervously. “I’m new to Strangerville and wanted to introduce myself. I’m Freddy.”

“Welcome to Strangerville, Freddy! Come back some other time when my husband is home, won’t you? I’m sure he’d love to meet you. Don’t be a stranger!” she said cheerfully.

Freddy worked up the courage to call Leslie and ask her on a date–she said yes! They went to the bar and have a legendary date. Then Leslie asked Freddy to be her boyfriend, and Freddy said yes!

After their date, Freddy decided to gather more information. He got some information about acquiring a keycard from a woman named Brianne, and she gave him a hastily scrawled note.

Freddy was shocked when a man told him that he had been told to report anyone who asks for evidence but he was starting to think that the public should know the truth. Freddy befriended him enough to get some Infrared Microfilm. Freddy had managed to collect eight pieces of evidence!

At work, it was collection day.

Freddy found a lot of collectibles. He even found a space alien that looked like a squid! He couldn't wait to display it at his house!

Freddy upgraded his SimRay to give it the ability to transform objects! He transformed a desk chair into…a slightly cooler desk chair!

Zoe kept coming over to talk to Freddy, almost as if she was romantically interested in him but his thoughts are only of Leslie.

Freddy and Leslie had a gold medal date! There was a brief interruption when she went crazy, but he was able to help her snap out of it.

Freddy finally got enough money to make his house look a little more like an actual house. He even made a tiny greenhouse for the bizarre fruit he planted. Unfortunately, while his relationship and house were progressing, Freddy hasn't made much progress in his Strangerville Investigation.
