How to Fix Pose Packs with Missing Thumbnails

You Will Need:

  • Sims 4 Studio
  • A Paint or Photo Program

Disclaimer:

Consider copying the file and editing the copy in case you make a mistake.

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018, so your instructions may vary depending on what you're using

Try This First:

In Sims 4 Studio:
  1. Select Content Management.
  2. Select Batch Fixes.
  3. Select Misc.
  4. Select Update Pose Packs.
  5. Repeat Steps 1-3.
  6. Select Update Images for DX11.

Instructions:

  1.  Locate the Sims 4 Studio file.
  2. Copy the file.
  3. Create a new folder (This must be outside the game folders, like on the Desktop or Downloads).
  4. Paste the copy of the file in the folder. You can replace the existing file later.
  5. Click the Start icon.
  6. Find your Mods folder. It is most likely located at Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
  7. Find the file you want to edit.
  8. Click it to open it in Sims 4 Studio.
  9. Click Clips.
  10. Export each thumbnail into a new folder. Skip this step if the pose pack came with image files or you took your own screenshots.
  11. Open an image in a Paint/Photo program.
  12. Click Image > Resize > Image Size.
  13. Make sure the Pixel Dimensions are set to Pixels. Set the Width to 64. The Height will change automatically.
  14. Go to File > Save as.
  15. Save the file as a .png.
  16. Repeat for all thumbnails.
  17. Reopen Sims 4 Studio.
  18. Click Clips.
  19. Click a thumbnail.
  20. Click the Import button in the Icon box.
  21. Repeat for all thumbnails.
  22. Click Save.
  23. Move the file to your Mods folder.
